Wedding Tips

When getting ready

  • Before we show up it is best to have someone in your party keep the room you are getting ready in as clean as you can. Put the random stuff in a catch all room or area that is not in the way to make it distracting in photos.

  • The room with the most natural light is best for photos. If where you are getting ready doesn’t have natural (window) lighting, we will make it work!

  • Rings, shoes, flowers and other details in one spot so it is easy for detail shots and easy to locate before headed to wedding.

  • Bring wooden/velvet hangers. So when taking photos of the dresses/tux it looks better in photos.

The Ceromony

  • When walking down the aisle take your time and breath.

  • Once you say i do, Hold the Kiss for the photo.

  • After the kiss, walk down the aisle looking at each other.

  • Half way down the aisle Kiss again.

I know this list might look overwhelming and like it takes forever, but as long as everyone is ready and listening it goes pretty quickly. We just want to make sure we get the combinations since all your loved ones that are there are there. I would say on average the family and bridal party takes about 30-40 minutes total. That way we get a good 20-30 mins of just you two to get plenty of variety of portraits and then 10-15 minutes to spare to just relax with you two and enjoy a moment alone.

We recommend blocking an hour total after the ceremony for all formal portraits listed above.

It is your big day and you can do whatever you wish! These are just some tips we have learned in our experience.
